Carpédia works with many leading companies
in both service and manufacturing industries to help them
attain operational excellence. While there are subtle and
not-so-subtle differences in industry sectors, the fundamental
approach we take is to determine current and potential processing
capacities and then identify the constraints that restrict
volume throughput, drive up costs or damage customer service.
Once we have a detailed understanding of these operating problems,
we work directly with managers to eliminate them or reduce
their impact. With the increases in throughput capacity made
available, management can then choose to reduce unit costs
by driving additional volume through the business or to reduce
the cost base where appropriate.
Some of the cost areas where we typically work with management
to reduce include:
Variable processing (labor, materials
and supplies)
"The
project continues to generate the results identified
and is now in the continuous improvement stage and
I look forward to the additional benefits that we
deliver."
